Seiyuus aren’t really a desired job. Thus we need part time jobs such as sketching stuff.

The title kinda sums up what im gonna post here. I’m not a seiyuu though, like duh. Haven’t got any idea for my next anime review, as school started and i’m kinda trying to make ends of my studies meet too. Oh and another note the title for this post is just as long as an average Hayate no Gotoku chapter name. 1 month more to hayate no gotoku review I guess?

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-01-05/80-percent-of-seiyu-take-part-time-jobs-to-make-ends-meet

“Ameba News posted the first part of an interview with Shōmu Shirogane, who is a seiyū (voice actor), a narrator, and the president of the Winner Entertainment voice-acting management agency. According to Shirogane, there are about 1,600 people who work as seiyū in Japan. Of that number, about 10% work full-time as freelancing seiyū. However, 80% cannot make ends meet with their voice-acting assignments alone, and have to take on part-time jobs elsewhere. The remainder including actors, idols, and media talents who perform in other fields. Another 80,000 are said to be potential seiyū and people who are applying to be seiyū.”

Sorry im not gonna make a 5000 word essay on the economy of seiyuus. For all I know, seiyuus receive the same amount of money for every job he/she does, even if she’s Shana or a mere Cameo character, they still receive the same amount. Kinda sad, and that I remember its a 3 digit yen they receive,no exact figures sorry.

Ah hey and another thing, I need to post my brand new hinagiku portrait.

If only I drew myself beside her.

If only I drew myself beside her.

but seriously, although there is no name written anywhere, it is kinda obvious that its an home-taken pic and its by jx as he’s the only one that uses an adrenaline booklet to draw stuff.  Selling A4 sized anime character portraits for like $1 each?
